How do we best treat animals in cardiopulmonary arrest?
The RECOVER Initiative first introduced evidence-based veterinary CPR guidelines in 2012, establishing the official certification process approved by the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care.
Updated in 2024, these guidelines reflect the latest advancements in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) — forming the foundation of this workshop.
This course provides a complete certification pathway, combining online learning with hands-on, simulation-based training, leading to internationally recognised RECOVER certification.
Mandatory Prerequisite
Completion of the RECOVER BLS & ALS online courses is required prior to attending the practical workshop.

Certification Pathway
The certification process consists of two components:
1️⃣ Online Training (BLS & ALS)
Participants complete interactive modules covering the latest RECOVER guidelines, including:
High-quality CPR algorithms
Airway management and ventilation
Drug protocols and monitoring
Evidence-based decision-making
2️⃣ Practical Workshop (Onsite Training)
Participants will apply their knowledge through scenario-based simulation training, using high-fidelity CPR mannequins.

Review of core RECOVER BLS concepts
Practical training using canine mannequins
Scenarios include:
Single-rescuer CPR
Two-rescuer CPR
With and without intubation

Scenario-based immersive simulation
