Practical Training
Participants will perform and practise key thoracic procedures, including:
Thoracotomy – surgical approach to the chest
Lung lobectomy
Flail chest reconstruction with rib fracture stabilisation
Diaphragmatic hernia repair
Chest tube placement
Cadavers will be prepared in advance to simulate realistic clinical scenarios, ensuring high clinical relevance.

The workshop may include collaboration with Cabiomede, providing exposure to advanced rib fracture stabilisation techniques and implant-based reconstruction.
